Justin Neal Avirett, age 42, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in Stony Creek, Virginia. He was born December 19, 1983, in Winter Haven, Florida to Robert Hullen Avirett and Mary Elizabeth (Hadden) Avirett. Justin worked as a framing carpenter, butcher & cook, attended Grace Bible Church, and has been a resident of Sebring, Florida since 1987. He is survived by his Mother - Mary “Beth” Bateman; Step-Father - Eddie Bateman; Siblings - Joe Avirett (Sandra) of Lake Wales, FL; Tianja Ortkiese-Comer (Brian) of Daytona, FL; Stacy Quinn (Patrick) of Avon Park, FL; Michael Avirett (Kathy) of Sebring, FL; Shawn Avirett (Rocio Bailey) of Sebring, FL; Jennifer Bateman (Michael Snapko) of Polk City, FL; numerous Nieces and Nephews - which were one of the joys of his life. He is preceded in death by his Father - Robert “Buddy” Avirett and Brother - Bobby Avirett.
Justin was an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting, guns and knives, and his dogs, Bear and Gunner. He was a skilled butcher and cook, and truly loved to cook. He often showed love for family and friends by preparing meals for them. He was also a gifted artist, creating prints for family and friends; even dabbling in tattoo artistry as a hobby. Perhaps his greatest joy came from his online poker community, where he made so many friends that filled his days with laughter and love. You could always count on Justin for a long-winded story and a goofy laugh. He was deeply loved, and he loved deeply.
