June Doris Smith

June Doris Smith, 88 of Avon Park, FL., passed away on September 16 ^th , 2018 in Sebring FL. Known as Doris to family and friends, she was a life- long educator coming from Afton, VA., in 2004. Doris is survived by her 2 sons-Robert ( Melissa Standley-Smith) Smith, Avon Park FL. and Richard E. Smith of Lynchburg , VA; brother- Richard Barron Avon Park FL,-sisters Carol Ann Barron, Avon Park FL and Joahn Sylvia Frazier of Hagerstown MD. 2 grandchildren, Morgan L. and Cora L.P. along with her nieces, nephews , cousins and her church family from Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church. Doris is predeceased by her husband of 53 years. Doris was a member of the Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church in Avon Park where she most graciously volunteered, as well as Walker Memorial Academy and Florida Hospital Medical Center. The family is requesting any Memorial Contributions made to be the choice of the donor in her name. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Waynesboro, VA.
