Judith Dee Uzzell

Judith Dee (Pemberton) Uzzell, 71, passed away on May 17th, 2018 in Naples, Florida of natural causes. A graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery in Sebring, Florida at 5pm on Saturday, May 26th.

Judi was born in Great Falls, Montana to Julius and Fern (Stokes) Pemberton on September 16, 1946. Julius was in the military and they moved around the country living in Denver, Syracuse, Biloxi, and Sebring to name a few cities. She was a talented singer with a beautiful voice and sang in many concerts and performances during High School and afterwards. Judi graduated from Biloxi High School in 1965 and had earlier met Boyd Uzzell from Sebring when the family lived there. After graduation her family moved back to Sebring and she and Boyd married in 1969 and had 1 son, Jesse Uzzell, who was raised by Judy after they divorced. Judy was a loving Mother and made sure her son was able to attend good schools and graduate from college. They lived in Fort Myers and Orlando, Florida where Judy worked at the United Telephone Company for 16 years.

Later in life Judi lived together with Fern in San Antonio, Texas and in Fort Myers, Florida. She and Boyd stayed good friends through the years and had the opportunity to see each other often and relive their adventures from Sebring. Judi was known as a kind hearted and generous person who welcomed everyone into her home and life. Her smile and kind words will be missed by her friends and loved ones.

Judi is survived by her brother Russel Aiken of Valier, Montana, her sister Jo Ann Mangold of Hayden, Idaho, her son Jesse, and her grandchild, Felix Uzzell.
