Judith Ann Fessler Bigbie (Judy) 66 was called home by the Lord on September 8, 2011. She was born on June 22, 1945, in West Chicago, Illinois. She moved in 1949 with her parents to Hot Springs, Arkansas. She graduated from high school there and went to college at Southern Missionary College now known as Southern Adventist University with a BS in Nursing. She then went to Florida Hospital in Orlando. After finishing there, she came to Avon Park to work at Walker Memorial Hospital, now known as Florida Hospital Heartland. She was married to Paul Bigbie June 16, 1977. On June 30th, 2010 she retired after 40 years 11 months without changing employers. Judy is survived by her loving husband, Paul, son Kenneth Bigbie (wife Gail), of Winter Haven, daughters Kathy Nelson (husband Tim) and Kim Goddard (husband Marc), both of Avon Park, brothers Mark Fessler (wife Cindy) of Gresham, Oregon, and Brian Fessler (wife Deane) of Houston, Texas. Also 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many nephews and nieces and her beloved frog collection of over 300. A celebration of her life will take place on September 1, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Avon Park Seventh Day Adventist Church on Avon Park Boulevard in Avon Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society. Arrangements were entrusted to the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Avon Park.
