Joyce R. Racy

We regretfully announce the passing of Joyce Racy of Sarasota, FL on November 10th, 2021. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. Joyce was a fiercely dedicated mother to all of her children, raising all of them to go on to accomplish great things. For many years, Joyce owned and operated a sewing business in Nokomis FL. Joyce loved sewing and crafts, as well as spending time with her loved ones. Family came first and was above all else to Joyce, a value she instilled in all those around her. Joyce’s laughter and smile were contagious. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Louis Racy; children Diane, Leonard, and Ruth. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Schell (Leonard); children, Gene (Monica), Mike (Desiree) and Pam (Craig); grandchildren, Danny, Krissy, Gene Jr, Christopher, Mike, and Reina; and great-grandson Colin.

Funeral services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Monday, December 6th, at 11:30am.
