Joy Hyacinth Binns

Joy Hyacinth Binns, age 85, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 in Orlando, FL. She was born on June 8, 1930 in Jamaica to the late Michael and Mary (Walker) Gore. Joy was a graduate of the University of the West Indies School of Nursing. She then devoted her life to nursing and caring for others. She had been a resident of Avon Park since 1996 having relocated from Eau Claire, MI. Joy was a lifetime, dedicated member of her faith, and belonged to the Ridge Area Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her son: Michael Binns and his wife Lara Ann Binns of Batavia, IL; niece: Candace Gore of Katy, TX; and nephew: Sheldon Rodney Gore of Katy, TX; sister-in-law: Carmelita Ebanks-Gore; Dear Friend and Former Husband: Royston G. Binns of Avon Park, FL. A Memorial Service, officiated by Reverend Byron Wells, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Ridge Area Seventh Day Adventist Church in Avon Park, FL.
