Joseph Christopher Sedlock

Joseph Christopher Sedlock passed away at home on February 19 ^th after a short illness. He was 56 years old.  Son of the late John (Chip) and Anne Sedlock, brother of the late Pat Sedlock, Joe leaves behind his siblings John (Michelle), Kathy (Doug) and Mike (Bridget); Children Dillon Sedlock (Texas), Jacob Sedlock (South Carolina), Zachary Sedlock (Georgia) and Patrick Sedlock (South Carolina); Grandchildren Alivia and Madelyn;

Uncle (“Unc” as he was lovingly referred to) to many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; extended family and friends.

Joe grew up in Vienna, Virginia and graduated from James Madison High School in 1983. He moved to Avon Park, Florida in 1989 where he worked for Sedlock and Heston Construction Company for many years. He resided in Avon Park until his passing. Besides being remembered for his kind heart and sense of humor, Joe was a huge fan of all sports, especially the Washington Redskins, the Boston Red Sox and the Maryland Terrapins, and he participated in many youth league and high school sports throughout his youth. He was an excellent golfer, angler and loved to play cards.

A Catholic Mass is planned for Saturday at 11:00 A.M. on February 27, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Avon Park, FL. Due to COVID a celebration of life will be held at a later time. In memory of Joe, the family welcomes donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, Avon Park, FL.
