Joseph E. Mcafee

Joseph E. McAfee, age 82, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. He was born on November 8, 1933 in Avon Park, Florida to Toy and Lessie (Earnest) McAfee. He was a control center operator for Florida Power for 31 years retiring in 1987, a member of Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church and an avid fisherman. He is survived by his children – Gay Cook (Tom), Avon Park, FL; Paul McAfee (Carrie), Lakeland, FL; Ted McAfee (Ina), Oviedo, FL; brother – Calvin McAfee, Avon Park, FL; grandchildren – Kelly Townsend; Robin Davis; Jennifer Stukey; seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Friday, February 26th 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Avon Park, FL. There will be a private interment at Bougainvillea Cemetery.
