Joseph Libasci

Joseph Libasci, age 91, passed away on February 20, 2014 in Sebring, FL. He was born on July 10, 1922, in Auburn, NY, to the late Joseph and Augusta (Humann) Libasci. He had been a resident of Highlands County since 1971, coming from Miami, FL. He is survived by his children: Joann (Lou) Mingacci - Sebring, FL; Gary (Pam) Libasci - Franklin, NC; Donna (Bo) Bovard - Sebring, FL; grandchildren: Anthony and Christina Mingacci; Eric, Jeremy and Nathan Libasci; Kyle and Kacie Bovard; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Doris Libasci. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Dominica (Terry) Libasci and a brother Louis Libasci. Joseph left his cat, Suzy, in the care of his dear friends Mike and Janet Phipps. Joseph served the Highlands County area as a dog groomer. He took great pride and pleasure in taking care of pets for the residents of Sebring, Lake Placid and Miami for nearly 50 years. He was a great provider for his family and a dedicated husband to his wife. He will be greatly missed. In keeping with the wishes of Joseph, there will be no funeral services.
