Joseph Flaquel

Joseph Flaquel, age 71 passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in Avon Park, Florida. He was born in Cap-Haiti to Mr. and Mrs. Perfecto Flaquel. He was a commercial artist in advertising; member of the Avon Park Seventh Day Adventist Church, he enjoyed singing, volunteering at Florida Hospital, wood crafting and spending time with his family and friends. He had been a resident of Avon Park since 2001 coming from Miami, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 45 years-Eliane M. Flaquel of Avon Park, Florida; children-Roger Flaquel of Miami, Florida, Ronald Flaquel (Tara) of Freemont, Michigan, Moses Flaquel (Sherry) of Miami, Florida and Gilda Blaise (Guy) of Coram, New York; 4 brothers and 2 sisters; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Avon Park Seventh Day Adventist Church with funeral services to begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Boling officiating. Burial will follow in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
