Joseph C Cobb

Joseph “Jay” C. Cobb, age 92, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025 in Lake Placid, Florida.  He was born May 4, 1933 in Lyons, Georgia to Harvey and Angerone (Jarrell) Cobb.  Jay worked as a Greens Keeper for Pinecrest Golf Course, Harder Hall Golf Course, and Crystal Lake Golf Course.  He was a Charter member of the Heartland Christian Church and has been a resident of Avon Park, Florida since 1948, coming from Georgia.  He is survived by his Wife – Delores “Mimi” Cobb; Daughters – Joan Cobb Cursi; Ande Cobb Krell; Step-Children – Terri Watson; Susan Dillow; Jill Ann Shields; Mike Cottongim; Brother – Pete Cobb; and many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.  Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park with Pastor Dennis Sheirs officiating.  In lieu of flowers, family request that memorial contributions be made to Heartland Christian Church, 2705 Alt US 27 South, Sebring, FL  33870.
