JOSEPH "ROCKY" CARDUCCI Age 92 of Avon Park, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2012. Loving husband of Marie who passed away in 1999. Born in Newton, Massachusetts he was the son of the late Rocco and Angelina Carducci. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Twomey of Ithaca, New York, his son Joseph Whelan of Connecticut, seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Daniel and Phyllis Carducci of Newton, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his brother Alfred and sisters Mary, Teresa and Viola. Funeral Mass: Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations may be made in his name to The Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts 02130.
