Joseph John Amato

Joseph John Amato, 79, passed away on Friday November 27, 2020 in Sebring, FL. He was born on June 1, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York, to Dominic and Anna (Lezzo) Amato. He had been a Sebring resident since 2012, formerly living in Valley Stream, New York. Joseph was of Catholic faith and worked as a mechanic at Con Edison a major utility company in New York City. He served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed woodworking, playing pickle ball, tinkering around in his garage and watching western movies. He belonged to the 8am Dunkin Donuts Club where they greeted people and tried to solve the problems of the world. Joseph was a people person and loved by all that knew him. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, MaryAnn and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Donald.

There will be a memorial mass for Joey at 10:00am on Thursday December 10, 2020 at Our Lady of Grace Church
