Joseph Curtis Adkins

Joseph Curtis Adkins, age 46, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Sebring, Florida. He was born on December 29, 1979, in Avon Park, Florida, to Billy Ray and Carmen (Cothran) Adkins.

Joseph dedicated his career to working as a CNA in the healthcare field, where he enjoyed caring for others. He had a deep love for his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He also enjoyed music, art, and spending time with his cherished pets, Ghost, Daisy, Stella, and Bella. Joseph loved reading and preaching the Bible, and his faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. He found great joy in sharing God's Word with others and living out his faith each day.

Joseph is survived by his loving children, Briana Adkins, Jacob Adkins, and Brandon Adkins; his sister, Lori Rivero (Tito); his father, Billy Adkins; his mother and stepfather, Carmen and Gary Selander; and his beloved grandchildren, Lily and Layla Broder.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Cothran.

A Memorial Service for Joseph Curtis Adkins will be held on August 22, 2026 at 10:30 AM, at Independent Baptist Church, 5704 County Road 17 S., Sebring, FL, 33876. Following the service, a Celebration of Joseph's Life will be held at 3447 Gerber Avenue, Lake Placid, Florida, 33852.
