Josefa Marrero

Josefa Marrero passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in Avon Park, Florida at the age of 84. The daughter of Patricio Marrero and Juana Severiana Ramos, she was born on July 29, 1938 in Lares, Puerto Rico. Josefa was a homemaker and of Christian faith who enjoyed playing dominos, watching soap operas and horse races. Josefa had been a resident of Sebring since 2018, originally from Puerto Rico. She is survived by her loving children – Angelina Mercado, Luis Mercado, Samuel Mercado, Jorge Berrios; brother – Jose Marrero; sister – Carmin Marrero. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. A visitation to be held at 5:00 pm until service time at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring.
