Jose Rivera

Jose Rivera, age 85 passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Tampa, Florida. He was born in Puerto Rico to Antonio and Petra (Franco) Rivera. Mr. Rivera worked in Electronics, he had been a resident of Sebring since 1989 coming from New York, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and he loved attending church, singing and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his children-Elsie Lindsey and Zaida (Phil) Gross all of Sebring, Florida; brothers-George, Tony and Frank; sisters-Nelly, Carmin, Emma and Iris; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mr. Rivera was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 51 years-America Rivera and a son-Jose Rivers, Jr. Visitation will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Primera Iglesia Hispana Discipulos De Cristo, 3700 Schumacher Road, Sebring, Florida the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
