Jorge L. Vangas, age 74, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019. He was born January 28, 1945 in Manati, Puerto Rico to Pedro J. and Luz M. (Burgos) Vangas, Sr. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Motorola, attended St. Catherine Catholic Church, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and has been a resident of Sebring, Florida since 2003, coming from Puerto Rico. He is survived by his Wife – Alba Vangas; Daughters – Sandra Vangas; Marisol Franklin (Michael); Son – Chad Timothy Vangas (Telisha Glover); Sisters – Elba Vangas; Lourdes Vangas; Brother- Pedro J. Vangas, II; 5 Grandchildren; and 1 Great Grandchild. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home.
