Jorge William Caban, Jr.

JORGE BILL CABAN Jorge Bill Caban, 63, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at his home. He was born May 23, 1947, to Jorge William and Luz Maria (Cardona) Caban in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and had been a resident of Sebring since 2004, coming from Moore Haven, FL. He was a Social Worker for the Work Force Council and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce in Moore Haven. Mr. Caban is survived by his wife, Nellieanne Caban; daughters, Mirka Keren Caban, Lake Wales, FL; Keila Noemi Caban, Sebring and Kathlyn Marie Caban (Gordon Hills III), Sebring and one grandchild, Meikya Marie Hills. Funeral services will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring with Dr. Kathryn Broyles officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Interment at Sarasota National Cemetery will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the VFW.
