Johnnie (Juana) Ruth Jones

Johnnie (Juana) Ruth Jones, age 87, passed away on Monday October 20, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on September 21, 1927 in Philadelphia, Mississippi to the late John R. and Sadie (Clark) Johnson. Juana was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sebring. She was also a member of Woman's Democratic Committee, Senior Citizen Organization and Sebring Social Dance Organization. She volunteered at South Florida State College and Florida Heartland Hospital. She was an avid golfer, loved traveling, gardening, and taking walks. She was such a caring person. Juana is survived by her children: Willie R. Denard-Riverside, CA; Walter Jones, Jr. (Emma)-Dexter, MI; Regina Jones-Detroit, MI, brothers and sisters: Albert Johnson, Paul Johnson, Bernard Johnson; Charles Johnson; Clark Johnson; Oletha McBride; Ella Stewart, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Jones, Sr., brothers: Eugene Johnson; Henry Johnson and Willie Windom. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, October 25, 2014 beginning at 11:00am at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 4500 Sun N Lake Blvd, Sebring, FL.
