John A. Wright

John A. Wright, age 87 passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on November 1, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Clyde and Cora (Reiber) Wright. John was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy he served in the Arctic and Antarctic as a 3rd class Radar Petty Officer. John was very active with the Boy Scouts of America serving as a leader for the Webelos, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Gideon's International Organization and volunteered for the Salvation Army during Christmas as a bell ringer. He was a member of La Porte Methodist Church in Elyria, OH. John had been a resident of Sebring for 20 years coming from Grafton, Ohio. He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Sebring. One of his favorite past-times was reading. John is survived by his wife, Alice Wright, his sons, Jonathan D. Wright-Sebring, FL; Robert A. Wright (Marjorie)-Westerville, OH; and Timothy H. Wright-Columbus, OH, and two grandchildren.
