JOHN LEWIS PETERSON John Lewis Peterson, 79, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011, at his home. He was born June 5, 1932, to Benjamin Franklin and Johanna (Anderson) Peterson in Hightstown, New Jersey, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1989, coming from New Jersey. He was a Stationary Engineer for a health care facility, of the Methodist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his former wife and the mother of his children, Joan Kozicz of Sebring; sons, John S. Peterson of Sebring and Thomas Peterson of Tarpon Springs, FL; daughter, Nancy Morrissey of Sebring; sister, Bertha Lawrence of Windsor, NJ and four grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at First United Methodist Church of Sebring with Rev. A.C. Bryant officiating. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to First United Methodist Church, 126 S. Pine St., Sebring, FL 33870.
