John Panasik

John Panasik, age 96 passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on May 14, 1919 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  John was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army during World War II and spent his career with the Federal Government.  He moved to Sebring, after living in Hollywood, FL for 31 years, and attended St. Catherine Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion.  John is survived by his son, Fred Panasik.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Benedict and Mary (Lukacs) Panasik, wife, Aurea Josephine Panasik and son, John A. Panasik, Jr.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring with funeral services being held on Monday, February 15, 2016, 10:00am, at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Jose Gonzalez and Father Peter Sheehan officiating.  Interment will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
