It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John William Nitterour. John was born on March 11, 1954 in Bremerhaven, Germany and passed away on July 24, 2023 in Sebring, Florida.
John was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was a devoted Catholic and a dedicated provider for his family. Though he recently retired, he never stopped working, filling his spare time with home improvement projects, and helping family, neighbors, and friends in any way he could. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, and boating.
In addition to his commitment to his family and friends, John proudly served his country as a member of the 82nd Airborne in the US Army.
John is survived by his wife, Maria; children, John Nitterour, Amanda Hoffmann, Chris Hoffmann (Rebecca), Nicole Hoffmann, Sal Hoffmann (Heidi), and Roy Hoffmann; his father, Albert Nitterour; his brother, Robert Nitterour; his sister, Patricia Baer; and his grandchildren, Jake McCoach, and Ava Hoffmann. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Max and Gigi.
John was a kind and generous man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 29 at 2 pm with a service to follow at 3 pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home 4001 Sebring Parkway, Sebring FL 33870. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name to the charity of your choice.
