J.B. (John Bernard) McMillen unexpectedly passed away on November 8, 2023, at his Sebring, FL home. He was only 46 years old. His family and friends are deeply saddened by his sudden passing. J.B. was born on March 27, 1977, to Linda McMillen Dininger and Robert Eugene McMillen II in Albany, NY. J.B. graduated from Mount Vernon Academy in 1995 wherein he made his life-long friends Keith, Gary, and Albert. J.B. went on to Andrews University majoring in Photography and Youth Ministries during his undergraduate and graduate years, respectively.
It was at Andrews University where J.B. met the love of his life, Eileen Corredera. Eileen and J.B. married on June 12, 2011. J.B. and Eileen enthusiastically welcomed the birth of their beautiful baby boy, Connor John, on May 1, 2020. J.B. felt deeply and loved hard. J.B.’s passion for his N.Y. Giants was only surpassed by the love for his family and friends. J.B. was fearless in his dedication to the service to others--from emboldening his students to pursue Christ, to providing hours of comfort and joy to his family and friends. There were never limits to the extent J.B. would go for his family and friends. J.B. was ever ready with a quick-witted joke and full body laugh. His genuine nature and infectious laughter removed distances and bonded relationships forever. J.B.’s love for God and deep faith helped carry him through the most difficult of times, and that love inspired many others to deepen their own commitment to their faith. J.B. touched countless lives as a pastor, teacher, and counselor, and his impact will be felt for generations. When J.B. wasn’t spending time with others, he could invariably be found playing Madden. Though J.B. adhered himself to the rules of any game, without a thought he would give anyone else a mulligan. J.B. recently celebrated completing his master’s degree in pastoral counseling and earned his distinction as a Certified Clinical Pastoral Therapist. In his last few weeks, J.B. found hope, love, strength, and support through his family and friends, and though J.B.’s life was cut short, he will live on in our hearts and thoughts.
J.B. is predeceased by his father, Robert E. McMillen II. J.B. is survived by his wife, Eileen Corredera McMillen; son, Connor John McMillen; Mother, Linda McMillen Dininger; Brother, Robert E.
