John “Johnny” L. Whittington, Jr., passed away Monday, December 4, 2023. He was born August 7, 1944 in Sebring, FL to John Leon and Ruth (Martin) Whittington, Sr. Johnny worked as a Citrus Fruit Buyer for Bowen Brothers for 35 years, was a member of First Baptist Church of Sebring, and has been a lifelong resident of Sebring, FL. He is survived by his Wife – Donna Whittington of Sebring, FL; Son – John Whittington (Gina) of Sebring, FL; Daughter – Amy Reed (Jeff) of Sebring, FL; Sister – Evonne Prescott of Naples, FL; Brother – Jack Whittington (Stevie) of Branford, FL; 5 Grandchildren; and 2 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL 33870.
