John Plake, Jr.

John Plake, Jr., 86, passed away Thursday September 14, 2017 in Sebring, FL. He was born in Tipton, IN to the late John Hiram and Frances (Crum) Plake. Having been a resident since 1981, John was a member of Grace Bible Church, was an avid baseball fan and volunteered his services to the little league, enjoyed reading and loved his family and friends. He proudly served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his Wife – Beverly Sue Plake; Daughter – Judy Bradbury. Survivors include: Son – John H. Plake of Sebring, FL; Daughters – Susan Clifton (Jeff) of Indiana; Lori Poteete of Texas; Lisa Friend (Ross) of Oklahoma; Brother – Freddy Plake of Tipton, Indiana; Companion and Special Friend – Linda Caldwell of Avon Park, FL and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
