JOHN E. AMES John E. Ames, 75, of Lorida, Florida, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Sarasota, Fl. He was born January 1, 1936, to Robert and Ethel (Hatch) Ames in Boston, Massachusetts, and had been a resident of Lorida since 1989, coming from Miami, Florida. He was employed in sales; was a member of First Baptist Church of Lorida and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. Ames of Lorida; daughter, Brittany Ames; son, Jonathan Ames, both of Lorida and sisters, Gloria Bosworth of Onset, Massachusetts and Rosemary Potts of Falmouth, Massachusetts. Memorial Services will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Lorida.
