Joe E. Landon

Joe E. Landon, age 67,  born on November 2, 1956, in Miami, FL, passed away on March 14, 2024, in Sebring, FL. He was the beloved son of Freeman Lloyd Landon and Opal (Bowles) Landon. Joe was preceded in death by his loving parents and his son, Noah Ryan Presley Landon.

Joe is survived by his sons, Jess Landon (Meredith) of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Sean Landon (Elaine) of Palm Bay, FL. He is also survived by his dear brother, Tex Landon (Sonia) of Ft. Pierce, FL. Joe leaves behind a legacy through his three grandchildren – Tucker Landon, Bryce Landon and Ema Landon.

Joe dedicated his life to serving and protecting others as a Police Officer in Law Enforcement. His commitment to his community was unwavering, as he was a member of various organizations including the police benevolent association, autism awareness association, NRA, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. A devoted Christian, Joe was a member of the Sunlight Community Church of Port Saint Lucie. He resided in Sebring since January of 2022, having previously lived in Port St. Lucie, FL.

In his leisure time, Joe found joy in his hobbies and interests such as being a Dallas Cowboys fan, an Elvis Presley fan, and a pro wrestling fan. He enjoyed cigars, tattoos, and weightlifting in his younger days. Joe had a soft spot for dogs and proudly served as a law enforcement officer. His favorite cars were the Pontiac GTO and Firebird.

A funeral service in memory of Joe E. Landon will be held on March 24, 2024, at the Sunlight Community Church of Port Saint Lucie on Southwest Cashmere Boulevard in Port St. Lucie, FL, at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) at https://namiflorida.org/.

Joe's kindness, dedication, and love for his family and community will always be remembered and cherished. May he rest in peace.
