Age 67, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 in Sebring, FL. He was born in Coffee County, Alabama on October 1, 1942 to D.L. & Myrtle Lee (Jacobs) Jackson. He was Self Employed as a Block Mason, of Baptist Faith, an avid supporter of the Avon Park Athletics, and a resident of Avon Park, FL since 1957 coming from Coffee County, Alabama. Survivors Include: Wife Mary Joe Jackson of Avon Park, FL; Daughter Nikki Jackson of Columbus, OH; Sons Greg Jackson (Jackie) of Avon Park, FL, Mike Ashton of Lorida, FL, Quinn Ashton (Dina) of Lorida, FL; Brothers Densby Jackson (Pauline) of Frostproof, FL, Ronnie Jackson (Amy) of Avon Park, FL, Billy Jackson (Janine) of Avon Park, FL, Clark Jackson (Patty) of Avon Park, FL; Sisters Sara Nell Haupe of Lake Wales, FL, Dot Johnson (Bobby) of Bonifay, FL, Sheila Locke of Avon Park, FL, Nan Runner of Avon Park, FL; Sister-in-law Nancy Jackson of Avon Park, FL; 8 Grandchildren Kyle Jackson, Ty Jackson, Brooke Jackson, Jade Jackson, Patience Jackson, Miles Ashton, Aldyn Ashton, & Dax Ashton. He was preceded in death by a Brother Mort Jackson, Sr. & a Brother-in-law Richard Runner. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Avon Park with Dr. Howard Leman and Rev. George Hall officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 5:00 8:00 PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park. Burial will be in the Bougainvillea Cemetery.
