Joanne Mcafee

Joanne McAfee, 86, of Sebring, FL passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born February 17, 1931 in Braddock, PA.  She was born to the late John R. and Ann M. (Bradley) Heatherington. She moved to Sebring with her family in 1947 where she graduated from Sebring High School. She went back to Pittsburgh, PA and attended business school and earned her secretarial degree. From then on she kept busy. She operated Heatherington Grocery in Sebring, operated McAfee Moving and Storage and worked at First National Bank. She was a founding board member of Unity of Sebring where she was a licensed teacher. She was an Officer of Sebring Historical Society and served her community in many ways. Survivors include: son; Dennis and daughter Lamai McAfee; grandchildren; Thomas, Sabrina, Arianne and Nicholas; sister: Janet Beliveau. She was preceded in death by her husband David McAfee. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Unity of Sebring, 10417 S. Orange Blossom Blvd., 33875, with Andy Conyer to officiate.
