Joan Catherine Esler, age 73, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 in Sebring, Florida after a long illness of cancer. She was born July 9, 1943 to the late John C. and Hedwig C. (Reppenhagan) Cisar in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She and her husband, LeRoy, moved to Sebring in 1988 and she worked for Heartland Home Healthcare for 15 years. She was a member Spring Lake Presbyterian Church where she was very active with the children's ministry. For the last two months Joan had been debilitated due to her illness and verbal communication by cell phone was her only escape keeping constant close contact with her two sisters and numerous other friends. Joan was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband of 47 years and best friend: LeRoy Esler; son: David Esler, both of Sebring and her two sisters: Ruthie (Michael) Abraham of IL and Sylvia (Paul) Angarone of OH. There will be Celebration of Life Service on Monday, May 29, 2017, 10:00 A.M., at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church, with current co-pastors, John and Harriet Davis and former pastor, Don Swope officiating.
