Jessica Yazmin Phillips

In loving memory of Jessica Yazmin Phillips, born on November 11, 1996, in Sebring, Florida, and passed away on November 18, 2023, in Sebring, Florida. After spending her early years in Sebring, Jessica later moved to Columbus Georgia where she attended Jordan High School. Her time was split between the two and she considered both, Sebring and Columbus, to be home.

Jessica is survived by her mother, Rebecca Colon, and siblings: Joshua Colon, Aramis Melendez, Jaymarie Colon, Jeremiah Colon, Ahlizah McLamore, and Ahniyah Colon; Step-Sisters – Jasmine Williams, Santana Williams, and Kian Bodie. Jessica is preceded by her sibling, Ahmiyah McLamore.

Jessica's philosophy was to embrace all life could offer. She will be remembered for her enthusiastic, fun, and free spirit as she lived every moment to its fullest. There was never a time she was not singing songs loudly and proudly, radiating love, and lighting up the room to all around her. Jessica took it upon herself to make sure everyone was having a good time. She loved dancing, all things beauty, singing, traveling, being one with nature, and exploring new places. Jessica was also a huge foodie; you could always count on her having a snack or knowing the best places to eat.

Jessica made all the people in her life feel important. She had an amazing ability to be a best friend to everyone. She always made sure to spend time with the people she loved and never missed a chance to be with them. Jessica valued relationships as she made sure to be a reliable, loyal, and trustworthy friend. She was a true confidante. Jessica loved wholeheartedly, and the love for her family and friends could be felt worlds away.

Jessica was a very beautiful person inside and out. She had a vibrant soul, embodying the qualities of a confident, beautiful woman. You always knew when she was around by her loud, infectious laughter, and a smile that could light up the room. She cared so deeply for everyone around her that her kindness and passion impacted many lives. She will forever be missed.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, at 1:00pm with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00am at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, FL. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to cover funeral arrangements. May Jessica's memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for the family.
