Jerry M. Stamps

Jerry M. Stamps, age 78, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on April 18, 1944 in Fairhope, Alabama, the son of James Fletcher and Desmond Elizabeth (Booth) Stamps. Jerry worked as a plant mechanic for a power company, was a Protestant by faith, proudly served his country in the United States Navy, and has been a resident of Sebring since 1976, coming from Miami. Jerry enjoyed  hunting and fishing. He is survived by his loving children, Shawn Stamps (Paula) and Jerilyn E. Campbell (Bill), both of Sebring, Florida; brothers, James F. Stamps Jr. and Therman Howard, Jr., both of N. Miami, Florida. Surviving are also three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Highlands County Humane Society. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. A graveside service to follow at 10:30 am at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park.
