Jerry Dean Ballard, 58, of Sebring, Florida, passed away on March 27, 2025. He was born on May 25, 1966, in Marysville, Ohio, to Thomas and Mary Ellen Ballard.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Desert Storm. He later built a career as a skilled machinist. In 2004, he made Sebring, Florida, his home after moving from Davie, Florida.
Jerry found joy in fishing and gardening, with a particular love for growing mangos. He was deeply interested in nutrition and was a talented cook. His sociable nature meant he cherished time spent with friends, always bringing laughter to those around him. Above all, he was a devoted and loving son, a steadfast companion to his mother, and a protector by her side. His beloved fur baby, Scooby, was always close to his heart.
Jerry is survived by his loving mother, Mary Ellen Ballard; his son, Austin Carey; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Ballard, and his sister, Debra Ballard. Jerry also held a special place in his heart for Judy Likens, who was like a second mother to him.
Jerry will be remembered for his kindness and his generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
