Jennifer Renee McGhee Lipowski was born on May 27, 1974, in Knoxville, Tennessee and lost her courageous battle with cancer on September 21, 2024, with her loving family surrounding her.
Jennifer was the beloved daughter of Jack McGhee (Nashville, TN) and Linda (Hartsook) McGhee (Sebring, FL), who survive her. She is also survived by her husband, Erik (Sebring, FL); and her cherished daughters: Gracie Cosgrave (Orlando, FL), Zoe Cosgrave (Lake Placid, FL), and Roxie Lipowski of Sebring, FL; siblings whom she adored: Heather Esquibel (husband, Orlando; Fort Myers, FL); Susanne Lake (Orlando, FL); and Josh McGhee (Sebring, FL). She was “Aunt Jenny” to her only and beloved niece, Sydney (Esquibel) Yarbrough (husband, Kyle; Punta Gorda, FL). Jennifer is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Carolyn White (Chattanooga, TN). Her newest title as “honey” to her first precious grandchild Hazel Palladino (Lake Placid, FL) brough her unspeakable joy and pride.
Jennifer’s family moved from Tennessee to Florida in 1990 after she spent the early years of her childhood living in Hong Kong as a missionary family. She grew her own family in Sebring, Florida as well as a successful preschool, which she directed for decades. During her cancer battle, trips to Florida beaches provided solace for her and her family. Jennifer was most passionate about her family and hosting events to bring them all together which gave her extreme joy and peace.
Jennifer’s life was a demonstration of kindness and generosity towards others. She treated others the way she would like to be treated. She was remarkably resilient and brave in the face of life’s challenges. Jenn had the confidence to forge her own path and wanted to help others facing the same battle. She will be remembered by these qualities and those who love her will see her beautiful smile and sense her sweet spirit when we feel the ocean at our feet and see sunflowers wafting in the wind.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Good Shepherd Hospice. Her family expresses deep appreciation to the many friends who supported Jennifer in her journey.
