JEANETTE WALDRON Jeanette Smith Waldron, born to Henry Ellis and Jerutha (Hicks) Smith on February 1, 1933 in Brighton, Highlands County, Florida, passed away May 6, 2012, in Marianna, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Waldron, from Sweetwater, in Hardee County, Florida. They were married on December 24, 1952 and had four children; Barbara F. Guy, Okeechobee; Darryl L. Waldron, Sneads; Sandra S. Evans, Lake Placid and Carlene C. Varnes, Venus. She was a homemaker and a School Board of Highlands County Bus Operator for 17 years and devoted "Nanny" to eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by two sisters, Beatrice Greer of Mississippi and Mable Purvis of Okeechobee, FL. Her worship was Pentecostal Holiness Church. She will be laid to rest beside Daddy in the Mercer Cemetery in Sweetwater on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with graveside services by Sister Ward officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Lacey and Kenny Leitner, Lake Placid; Joshua "Tater" Varnes, Venus and Kenzie, Luke and John Waldron, Sneads. Family lunch will be provided at Carlene Varnes' residence, 350 Sheppard Rd., Venus, immediately following the service.
