Jeanette F. Brown

Jeannette F. Brown, age 84, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015 in Sebring, Florida after a hard fought battle with cancer, she was not a survivor but a fighter. She was born on October 26, 1930 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to the late Stanley and Ethel Wildermuth. She moved to Sebring with her late husband, Hal Miller, in 1987. They were accomplished musicians. As a duo they played at numerous Supper Clubs in the Allentown area. After moving to Florida they played for over 8 years at Crawford's Chalet in Avon Park. After Hals passing, she performed as a single for many more years at Sun N Lakes Country Club under the professional name of "Miss J". She was an avid golfer and was a member of Sun N Lakes and the Country Club of Sebring. Jan was credited with two Holes in one at each club. After she retired from her singing and playing career she and her husband, Bud Brown, moved to a peaceful life on Lake Josephine. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Bud Brown-Sebring, FL, Son, Ted Berger-Allentown, PA, Daughter-in-law, Dianne Berger Trevis-Allentown, PA, grandchildren, Tom Berger, Sr.; Megan Holmes; Kate Berger, Stefani Berger and Zachary Berger and several great-grandchildren, sister, Barbetta McHale (Charles)-Sebring, FL, step-children, Robert and Nancy Brown-Rochester, NY; Drs. Marc and Susan Brown-Rochester, NY; Chris and Ruth Brown-Plano, TX; Meg and Dave Smith-Sebring, FL; Matt and Dr. Charlotte Brown-Shreveport, LA; Tim Brown-Glenside, PA, fourteen step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Jeanette was preceded in death by her first husband, Hall Miller and son Tom Berger, Jr. There will be a memorial mass on Saturday, October 24, 2015, 10:00am, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sebring, FL.
