Japeth William "Bill" Turley, Sr.

JAPETH W. (BILL) TURLEY, SR. Japeth W. (Bill) Turley, Sr., 88, of Sebring, FL, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010, in Sebring. He was born November 28, 1921 in Corydon, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Elizabeth Ann; sons, Bill, Jr., Robert and Michael; sister, Marilyn Day; brother, Forest Turley and two grandchildren, Alison and Jay, as well as many longtime friends and relatives. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sebring and Tanglewood Community Church in Sebring and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force 388th Bomb Group. He was raised in New Albany, Indiana and Corydon, Indiana and was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was retired from the railroad and also Transportation Communication Union. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. Memorial Services will be held in Indiana at a later date.
