Janice Louise Maly

Janice Louise Maly, age 81, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 4, 2020 in Sebring, FL. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Henrietta (Mohler) Franzen. She was born on September 21, 1939 in Bottineau, ND. She had been a resident  of Sebring since 2011. She moved to Moore Haven, FL in 1970 from Valley City, ND where she and her husband, Weston, raised their family along the banks of the Caloosahatchee River.

She worked as Director of Nurses at Hendry General Hospital in Clewiston, FL for 20 years. She spent many years working as a travel nurse and enjoyed the people and places along the way. She later settled in Lewistown, MT and worked as a registered nurse until she retired at the age of 70.  Janice enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards (especially pinochle) and traveling , but most of all  she loved spending time with her family. She would always give comfort with great words of wisdom and encouragement. She always knew what to say to make you feel better.  She is survived by her loving children – Shayne (Hannah) Maly of Hunter, ND; Joel (Sherry) Maly of Fargo, ND; Pam (Edward) Vickers of Sebring, FL; Ramon (Linda) Maly of LaConner, WA; and special friends – Donna & Gordon Lund and family of Enderlin, ND.  Surviving are also 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Weston Lowell Maly, 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Interment will be at North Dakota Veteran's  Cemetery in Mandan, North Dakota at a future date.
