Janet Louise Turvey

Janet Louise Turvey, age 74, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014, in Sebring, Florida. She was born on February 22, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to Phillip and Elvina (Korte) Taylor. Janet had been a resident of Highlands County since 1990 coming from Omaha, Nebraska. She was a military wife for 21 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and she loved her animals and wildlife. She loved family time and especially with her grandchildren. Janet is survived by her husband: James Turvey-Lake Placid, FL; her mother: Elvina Taylor, her children: Jon Pieti (Arlene)-Fredericksburg, VA; Robert Pieti- Papillion, NE, her siblings: Phillip Taylor (Kathy)-Sterling, MI; Mary Lou West (John) - Lake Placid, FL, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service on Friday, October 17, 2014, 11:30am, at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL.
