Janet Lorraine Davis Bready, of Sebring, Florida, died peacefully on September 6, 2014, having suffered a stroke. She was the cherished wife and best friend of 64 years of Robert Calvin Bready, who survives her. Known for perfectionism in all she undertook, Janet was an accomplished seamstress and an avid baker. Janet and Calvin were born, met and married in the vicinity of Rockville, Maryland, where they lived the greater part of their lives before retiring to Greencastle, Pennsylvania and, finally to Sebring, Florida. Janet is survived by daughter, Linda Lorraine McDermitt, son, Don Calvin Bready, daughter, Margaret Ann Mullaney (Tom), and was the treasured grandmother of seven grandchildren, Emily McDermitt Dykstra (Dan), Noel McDermitt Tenny (Shane), Bret McDermitt (Annemarie Ceretto), Rebecca McDermitt Buice (Jon), Drew Calvin McDermitt, Vincent Thomas Mullaney, Julie Jane Mullaney, and the great-grandmother to Morgan Kay Dykstra, Britt Calvin Blake Tenny, Chet Anders Tenny, Giselle Eve Tenny, Grady William Caleb Tenny, Eve Lorraine Dykstra. If a person lives to be very old, let him rejoice in every day of life, but let him also remember that eternity is far longer, and that everything down here is futile in comparison. Ecclesiastes 11:8. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, September 13, 2014, 12:00pm, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor Lester Osbeck officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at a later date.
