Jane Ann Mcgregor

Jane Ann McGregor, age 84, passed away suddenly as the result of an auto accident on January 21, 2015 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on January 2, 1931 in Coleman, Michigan to the late Carl and Florence (Ritter) DeJongh. She graduated from Clare High School in 1949. She married Bruce McGregor on October 4, 1952 and together they raised their three children. Moving to Bridgeport, MI in 1957, Bruce and Jane owned McGregor Drugs in Bridgeport for over 35 years. Bruce preceded her in death in 2011. Jane enjoyed golfing, playing cards, going to the casino, and was an active member of the Red Hat Society. She had a passion for the Detroit Tigers, rarely missing a game on television. She was a former member of Bridgeport Country Club and Maple Hill Golf Club. Jane is survived by her three children: Jeffrey McGregor-Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Scott (Fayenen) McGregor-Santa Barbara, CA; and Carla (Michael) Zietz-Saginaw, MI, four grandchildren: Jason (Heather) Amy; Jeremy (Jami) Amy; Jennifer (DaVodis) Bowman; and Michael McGregor, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, sister-in-law: Miriam McGregor, and many, many dear friends. Along with her husband, Jane was preceded in death by one brother: Bob DeJongh and one sister: Boots Halstead. Cremation has taken place in Sebring, Florida and a celebration of life memorial service will be held in the spring in Bridgeport, Michigan.
