James George West

James G. West of Sebring, FL, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2025, at the age of 95. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, James served his country with honor as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.  After his service in the military, he returned to Philadelphia, where he worked as a milkman and -- together with his wife and sweetheart, Norma West -- raised six children.  In the 1980s, James and Norma set out for a new adventure in Sebring, FL -- a place that felt like home from the very beginning.  James retrained as a building contractor and became a dedicated member of Christ Fellowship Church, where he taught Sunday School.

James will be missed by all those who knew and loved him, including his surviving children (Donna, Richard, Carole, Karen, and Lisa), his eight grandchildren, and his six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Jimmy, and his loving wife Norma M. West.
