James Keith Smithers

James Keith Smithers, 61, passed away on November 29, 2020 in Sebring, FL. He was born on May 26, 1959 in Oneida, Tennessee to James C. and Betty J. (Harvey) Smithers. He had been a Florida resident since 1969. James served his country in the US Marines Corps. He worked as a construction painter. James enjoyed fishing and painting. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by them. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia; children – Mariah LJ Smithers of Sebring, FL; Adriana C. Whelden of Avon Park, FL; brothers – Allen E. Smithers, Sr. of Rogersville, TN; John Lee Smithers (Mary Helen) of Gravette, AR; sister – Sandra Diane Bowling of Oak Ridge, TN. Surviving are also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of James life will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, with Pastor Sean Wyland officiating.
