James G. Maxcy, Jr.

James G. Maxcy, Jr., age 68, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on May 17, 1947 in Alachua County, Florida. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Navy, U.S.S. Forrestal O.I. Division.  James was a lifelong resident of Sebring and owner of Maxcy’s Mens Wear.  He was also a lifetime member of Sebring Fireman, Inc. and Bible Fellowship Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Maxcy, children, James G. “Bubba” Maxcy, III (Stephanie), Tina Maxcy, step-children, B.J. Wagner (Jeff); Brandi Fulton, Collin Orday (Alicia) and nineteen grandchildren  all of Sebring, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, James G. and Louise (Cope) Maxcy and two brothers, Robert Maxcy and Guy Maxcy.  There will be a memorial service on Sunday, March 6, 2016, 3:30 p.m. at Bible Fellowship Church with Reverend Todd Patterson officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorial contributions be made to: Sebring Firemen, Inc., P.O.
