James Joseph Hammond

James Joseph Hammond, passed away peacefully at his home on June 1, 2025. He was born in East Peoria, Illinois, on September 10, 1935.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Kathleen Hammond; his sons, Ross (Debra) Hammond, Craig Hammond, Kevin (Stephanie) Hammond, Scott Hammond, and Brian (Sherrie) Hammond; Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. James was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Jim was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing three times a week, with his last round played just a little over a month before his passing.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, with a visitation at 1:00 pm and services to follow at 2:00 pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, FL.
