James John Fosella

James John Fosella , age 82, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 peacefully at home in Sebring, Florida.  He was born on June 17, 1939 in Valhalla, New York to the late James and Dotty ( DeRuzza ) Fosella .  He had been a winter resident in Tanglewood since 2002 and a permanent resident since 2011 coming most recently from Myerstown, P A . Jim spent most of his life living in Westchester County, NY and Long Island, NY. Jim was a V eteran serving in the US Navy, an engineer, and was of the Christian faith. His career spanned more than 40 years working with successful construction companies renovating some of the most iconic buildings in Manhattan. Soon after 9/11, he and his wife Evelyn retired , spending many fun years RVing through out the US and traveling to Europe. He is survived by his w ife of 35 years – Evelyn Anderson Pasfield Fosella of Sebring, FL; Children – John Fosella , Paul Fosella (Pamela) , Peter Fosella (Carolin a ) , Jeanne Fosella Germann ; Stepchildren – Jennifer Pasfield Hess (James) , Scott Pasfield ; Sister – Dolores Portanova (John); six Grandchildren; one Great-Grandchild; two nephews and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his S on-in- L aw Scott Germann , G randson Jameson Hess , Brother-in-Law Kenneth Anderson and Nephew Paul Anderson . Jim was a gentle giant with a loving heart and a friend to all. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, FL . The service will also be streamed live on our Facebook page.
