James K. Faust – American Institute of Architects, Emeritus.
Born September 23, 1932 in Windber, PA and reared by William H. and Myrtle M. Faust, he graduated from Windber High in 1950 and then entered U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 25, Lake Placid. James was the first employee of L. Robert Kimball, Architects and Engineers, a 500-person firm based in Ebensburg, PA. He became a licensed architect in 1977 through experience and examination after 27 years of work in engineering and architecture and then VP of production and construction administration, with 34 years employment with Kimball. He enjoyed work experience in Albuquerque, Sandia Base, Los Alamos and Navajo Indian Reservation, NM; Marriott Hotels, Washington, DC; Charleston, SC; and Palm Beach County School District. James retired in 1998 after 47 years employment and moved to Highlands Ridge in Avon Park, FL in 2000. He was married and preceded in death by Loumella J. Faust (nee Tononi). James was a practitioner at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park. Cremated remains will be interred in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
