James Duane Davis, age 65, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on August 15, 1948, in Hico, West Virginia, to Jacob Lee and Faye (Fowlkes) Davis. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He had been a resident of Sebring since 1960 coming from Hico. James was a co-founder and member of The Unity Church of Sebring, past commander of the American Legion Post #74 and owned and operated J. Duane Davis Chiropractic of Sebring since opening the practice in 1978. He is survived by his wife-Linda Davis of Sebring, FL, daughters-Kim Strickland (Donnie) of Sebring, FL; Samantha DeCerbo (T.J.) of Apopka, FL, sons-Eric Davis of Tampa, FL; Michael Davis of Augusta, GA, sister-Karen Montesano of Avon Park, FL, brothers-Steve Davis (Nicole) of Sebring, FL; Kevin Davis (Susan) of Sebring, FL, five grandchildren-Grant (Stephanie); Jordan; Trent; Gianna; Joseph, one great-grandchild- Leilani. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 15, 2014, 11:00am, at The Unity Church of Sebring with Reverend Andy Conyer officiating. The Family will receive friends starting at 10:30am.
