Jake Ben Santistevan, aged 70, passed away on September 23, 2024, in Avon Park, Florida. He was born on October 14, 1953, in Jerome Idaho. Jake was known for his fun-loving spirit, diligent work ethic, and a profound sense of pride in his accomplishments. Over the years, he dedicated himself to various trades, including construction, roofing, and working as a stocker, which showcased his versatility and hardworking nature.
Jake's life was a canvas of vibrant activities; he loved the outdoors, fishing, family gatherings, fish fries, barbecues and working on his home. His artistic talents were expressed through painting and drawing, creating lasting memories for all who were fortunate to see his work.
He leaves behind a loving family: his partner Holly White, his son, Richard Santistevan and granddaughter; daughter, Amy Santistevan and grandsons; and his siblings, Christina Santistevan Rodriguez, Consuelo Santistevan Sanchez, Alex Santistevan, Rosemary Martinez, Margaret Santistevan Valdez, Linda Santistevan Robles, Bernice Resendiz, and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Jake was preceded in death by his father, Jake Santistevan, his mother, Mary Renteria-Resendiz, and his brother, Daniel Eugene Santistevan.
A service to honor Jake's life will be held at Our Lady of Grace, located at 595 E. Main St., Avon Park, Florida, on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM
A Celebration of Life and birthday party will be held on October 12, 2024, at his home, 1885 W. Fondulac Rd, Avon Park, Florida, starting at approximately 5 pm. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Jake to join in commemorating his remarkable life.
